Dinner hosted by Cindy Hutson, Allen Susser, Norman Van Aken, Robbin Haas, Mark Militello and Douglas Rodriguez he original Mango Gang is getting back together for one unforgettable evening as part of SOBEWFF®'s sweet 16. Chefs Norman Van Aken, Robbin Haas, Mark Militello, Douglas Rodriguez, and Allen Susser will join Cindy Hutson at her new downtown hotspot Zest for this special culinary reunion. Credited as the gang who pioneered South Florida's culinary identity beginning in the 1980s and '90s, the Mango Gang set out to create cuisine inspired by the local ingredients and cultural influences in Miami. Access to tropical fruits and an abundance of fresh seafood found in our own Atlantic aquarium paved the way for the bright flavors indicative of South Florida's culinary scene today. So grab a seat, and let the godfathers and leading lady responsible for Miami's gastronomic character take you on a journey of our local culinary heritage.
