Why We Love It: Carolina Quijano’s bean-to-bar chocolates and bonbons, available online and via wholesale clients, including Azucar Ice Cream, Edge, Steak and Bar, Pasion del Cielo and Threefold Cafe, will now have a home at a brick-and-mortar chocolate factory in Little Havana. “You’ll be able to openly see all steps in chocolate production and all the machines involved in the process,” says Quijano, who recently won first place at the Food Innovation Pitch Night sponsored by the Better Food Movement. Her shop is expected to open in early 2018.
