Why We Love It: Five generations of the Harris family have raised cattle on this South Georgia farm, a simple operation in the late 1800s that grew over the years. After World War II, their traditional system of raising and distributing livestock gave way to today’s industrial beef production system. In 1995, the family reinstituted traditional grazing and processing practices. Today, the family farm produces grass-fed beef and other products available at Whole Foods Markets and Publix.
