Brugal 1888’s “La Palma” is refreshing and sophisticated. With just three ingredients – coconut water ice, orange and rum – it’s simple to execute and guaranteed to impress. As the ice begins to slightly melt in the glass, the subtle sweetness and natural flavors of the coconut infuse with the rum, releasing 1888’s notes of toffee, citrus and red fruit, creating a smooth, not-too-sweet cocktail with the familiar flavors of summer you can savor.
To start, pour coconut water into an ice sphere mold and freeze for at least 24 hours. Remove the ice from the mold, place into a rocks glass and pour over 2 oz. of 1888. Garnish with an orange twist.
