Brickell

Art, waterfront views at Cantina La Veinte
Inside the Icon Brickell, this two-story restaurant honors the diversity of Mexican artistry through gastronomy, entertainment and art exhibits. From Friday, Dec. 8 to Sunday, Dec. 10, Mexican artists will exhibit their artwork on Cantina’s gorgeous outdoor waterfront patio beginning at 8pm each night: Arantxa (Fri.); Lao Gabrielli (Sat.). and Neón (Sun). Edgewater

Michael Schwartz' new Amara at Paraiso Pop-up
Get a sneak preview of Amara before it officially opens in January 2018. Family-style, four-course, dinner includes snacks and cocktails and a selection of wine, beer and other beverages for $189 per person.
Batuke, a Brazilian band that mixes 70s funk, Afro samba, Brazilian Big Band, Batucada, soul and R&B, will be performing live at the pop-up each night. Reservations here.

Miami Beach

New Strand Bar & Grill Debuts 
Just in time for Art Basel is this new restaurant and bar at the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, featuring seasonal American fare. Inventive cocktails include A Beet Up Mule with beet-infused Veev Acai, lime juice and ginger beer and Gin It to Win It with Rutte celery gin, fresh green apple, basil and elderflower syrup. Among menu items are stracciatella with black Mission figs, basil and chicory; sea scallops with Jerusalem artichoke, pomegranate, Brussels sprouts and black truffle; Kampachi Crudo with asparagus, yuzu, radish and rice crisp.

South Beach

Bottomless Bloody Marys at Icebox Cafe on South Beach
From Dec. 4–10, Icebox Cafe on South Beach is offering bottomless bloody marys, mimosas and rosé for only $23. 

Grab-and-Go Tacos at BLT Steak
The newly opened BLT Steak at the Iberostar Berkeley offers steak tartare tacos and elote (Mexican corn) tacos. Just order with the restaurant hostess right inside the hotel entrance between 8-11pm.

Michelle Bernstein at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden
For the fourth consecutive year, chef Michelle Bernstein will operate the outdoor Garden Café at Miami Beach Botanical Garden during Art Basel Miami Beach. Michy's Garden Cafe reflects a fresh California theme, with poke bowls, sandwiches like a Korean chile glazed fried chicken sandwich and fresh salads. Bar La Trova features cocktails and light bites accompanied by Latin beats.

Tapas and Cocktails at new Habitat
Chef Jose Mendin of Food Comma Hospitality Group, who just opened Habitat inside Miami Beach’s 1 Hotel South Beach, along with Michelin-starred chef de cuisine, Angel Palacios, and mixologist Pedro Sanchez, have created a tapas and cocktail menu for the mezzanine lounge throughout Miami Art Week from 6pm-midnight, followed by Mendin’s Late-Night Ramen series from midnight–2am.

Sunny Isles Beach

Half-price Mojitos and More at Gili's Beach Club
Off the beaten path (this can be a good thing), beachside Gili's Beach Club features Beach Basel happy hour, with a half-price mojito bar, including Frozen Coconut Mojito, a mojito-piña colada hybrid, or the Mojito & Bubbles, a traditional mojito made with Prosecco. Gili's Beach Club also offers 50% savings on other cocktails, beers, wines and appetizers. Happy Hour runs from 6–8pm on Friday, Dec. 8 and Sat., Dec. 9.

Sunset Harbour/Venetian Islands (Miami Beach)

Macallan Presents: NaiYaRa x Herbert Galarza
During dinner on Fri., Dec. 8, NaiYaRa will double as a gallery, as South American street artist Herbert Galarza will be painting live onsite will be onsite painting live. The event will also feature a pop-up shop featuring works by the artist and custom-painted bottles of Macallan. Guests will also be able to order exclusive, one-night-only Macallan pours.

Vegan Menu: Impossible Burger at The Standard
From Mon, Dec. 4 through Sun., Dec. 10 from 6pm-3am, the Juice Cafe Munchies menu features the Impossible Burger Meal, including the plant-based Burger that looks, handles, smells, cooks and tastes like ground beef from cows. It's topped with daiya cheese, marinated tomato, grilled onion and secret sauce served with skinny fries and a cashew ice cream milkshake. More here.

1-800-LUCKY
Perhaps the most fun in town is at Miami's newest food hall, the Asian-themed 1-800-LUCKY with sushi (Myumi), Chinese (Lotus & Cleaver), Vietnamese (Les Banh Amis), poke (Poke OG), dumplings (Yip), ramen (Haiyato), soft-serve (Taiyaki) plus bar, beer, vinyl – so much fun!
