Debuting Sept. 23rd: Homegrown Miami Bites, Brews and Bands, Miami’s first-ever festival featuring local eats, craft brews, music and art; and supporting the local movement in the 305. The event at Watsco Center at the University of Miami is family-friendly, indoors, on a Sunday before South Florida's busy event season kicks in – all reasons to make this a must-do, says organizer Denise Galvez.

"This has been in my mind for 10 years," says Galvez, who was behind Latin funk music festivals in past years. "If you love Miami, we're going to celebrate everything Miami."

On hand will be local breweries Veza Sur, MIA, The Tank, Funky Buddha, Wynwood Brewing and Concrete Beach. Food vendors include Killer Melts, Latin House, Mad Love, Cao Chocolates, Threefold Café, Deco Coffee, Tio Colo Bocaditos, Sweet Dogs, Artic ICE and Mango Mania
