Earth Day at KYU

April 22
Ever since Wynwood’s KYU opened in 2016, they knew they were going to burn a lot of wood. KYU uses old oak collected throughout Florida for their wood-fire grill. For every tree used to cook in the grill, KYU plants five additional trees through a partnership with Trees for the Future. They also allow guests to buy trees right off the menu with an item listed as “Buy 50 Trees for $5.” KYU then matches all tree purchases made by customers. On Earth Day, KYU will donate $1 per customer directly to the Earth Day Network. During the week of Earth Day, April 22, and Arbor Day, April 26, KYU will allow guests to donate to Trees for the Future on their check. They will also launch a cocktail only available that week, and donate a portion of the proceeds to Trees for the Future. For more info, visit Kyu Miami.
