We met artist Sara Averbook Kaplan during O, Miami’s Poetry in Pajamas at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden earlier in the year. It was a delightful event hosted by her sons, Sam, 9, and Simon, 6. The two started reciting poetry in their pajamas from the bottom bunk of their North Bay Village bunk bed and Kaplan shared the videos on social media. The Poetry in Pajamasmission continues, empowering kids’ voices and ideas through writing, reading, and understanding poetry.
