The Story of Best State Matcha
Coffee leaf powder + matcha tea? Yes! This new blend offers the healthy benefits of antioxidants and lower caffeine in a refreshing beverage. Made in Uji, Japan, Best State Matcha combines coffee leaf and matcha for a new, delicious experience.
Coffee Leaves
Best State Matcha came about when researchers discovered that coffee leaves have high levels of chlorogenic acids (CGA), an antioxidant that packs impressive health and wellness benefits. Antioxidants work by inhibiting the oxidation caused by free radicals in our bodies. By combatting free radicals in the oxidation process, they can help lower inflammation, lower blood pressure and regulate glucose levels. Each gram of coffee leaf powder has only 7.9mg of trace caffeine.
Matcha Tea
Matcha comes from Camellia sinensis, the same plant used to make more green, oolong and black teas. Matcha is grown, harvested and produced in a way that preserves its beneficial nutrients. First, tea buds are grown in the shade for at least 20 days to reduce the rate of photosynthesis, giving matcha its unique flavor and brilliant green color. At harvest time, only the smallest and youngest parts of the plant are picked. The freshly harvested tea leaves are steamed, dried and sorted. Finally, the leaves are ground into a fine powder that is refrigerated quickly so it doesn’t lose flavor. Matcha tea contains about 70mg of caffeine per 8-oz cup as well as L-Theanine, an amino acid that helps promote relaxation.
Together, Best State Matcha is the perfect drink to accompany you on your journey to the best state of mind and body.
