Amara & Friends returns for their second installment at Amara at Paraiso. Chef Michael Schwartz is hosting this chef series alongside community leader Marvin Tapia welcoming a new chef once a month and shining a spotlight on their country of origin.Tues., May 28 – Cuba

    ◦    Diego Oka, executive chef of La Mar by Gastón Acurio. This experience will be themed as a Brugal Maestro Dinner featuring curated rum pairings by Brugal Brand Ambassador, author and FIU Hospitality Professor, Gabe Urrutia.  
Wed., July 24 – Colombia
    ◦    Pablo Zitzmann, executive chef/owner of Zitz Sum
Tues., Aug. 27 – Puerto Rico
    ◦    Jose Mendin, five-time James Beard semifinalist and co-founder of Pubbelly Sushi, Casa Isola, Hitchihaika and June Burgers

    ◦    Karla Hoyos, executive chef/owner of Tacotomia and World Central Kitchen Disaster Relief head chef
