COCHON555 Miami To Go!

One of South Florida’s popular porky events, Cochon555 is happening Sept. 22-27 virtually. Across five different nights, chefs Michael Lewis (KYU), Michael Schwartz (Amara at Paraiso), Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis (Root & Bone, Stiltsville), Giorgio Rapicavoli (Eating House) and Brad Kilgore (Ember) will host virtual dinners via Zoom. Participants can order tickets for carryout meals and watch dishes recreated online.

“People are hungry to connect, so transitioning into something virtual was a natural reallocation of the brand, says Brett Friedman, partner & CEO of Agency 21 Consulting, which owns/operates Cochon555. “We decided to create a carry-out program with an online component as a creative alternative for our fan base while supporting local restaurateurs and raising awareness for heritage breed pigs.

Guests will buy tickets ($115 for one; $200 for two) which will include a multi-course meal prepared by the featured chef with almost all of the ingredients sourced from heritage breed pig farms; a bottle of wine (red or white) from Bodegas Ontañón and a cocktail kit or pre-mixed cocktail comprised of either Buffalo Trace or Wheatly Vodka. Cochon555 will donate 80% of the ticket proceeds to the participating restaurants.

Featured farms include Sunshine Provisions of Hollywood, and Joyce Farms and Cheshire Farms of North Carolina.
