Compliments on this Miami Condiment: Beast Sauce Now Available
What tastes like the #305? Beast Sauce! The guava sriracha ketchup is finally available in bottles at select South Florida retailers, says Sef Gonzalez, aka Burger Beast, who created the slightly spicy sauce for burgers at pop-ups at the Burger Museum.
“It’s a variation of a special sauce, but not mayo-based,” says Gonzalez. “And I am a fan of guava.” Beast Sauce is good to drizzle on top of a burger or as a dipping sauce for fries. It also bakes well, he says. “You can add it to meat loaf, sloppy Joes or BBQ.”
Made and bottled in Lakeland, Beast Sauce is available for $8 for a 12-oz bottle starting Mar. 6 at Arbetter Hot Dogs, Babe’s Meat and Counter, Breadman Bakery in Hialeah, Chefs on the Run in Homestead, Chug’s Diner in Coconut Grove, Cuban Guys in Kendall, Dos Croquetas, Downstairs Market in Coral Gables and Miami Springs, El Rey de las Fritas in Sweetwater, Empanada Harry’s, Hate Mondays Tavern, La Fresa Francesa, Latin House Grill, Magic City Pizza, Mr. and Mrs. Bun, Odaly’s Delight, Stephen’s Deli and Union Beer Store. A gallon jug is available for foodservice. For more, visit Burger Beast.
