Miami Marlins Love Local Food
As the 2019 baseball season approaches, the Miami Marlins have added local food players to their roster at the stadium, including longtime favorites Miami’s Best Pizza, Peruvian/Japanese SuViche, Argentinean bistro Novecento and homegrown burger chain PINCHO plus two concepts from superstar chef Jose Andres’ ThinkFoodGroup: Butterfly Tacos y Tortas and La Pepa.
Authenticity and better quality foods are key to creating a better fan experience, according to Marlins president of business operations Chip Bowers. “We sought a dining experience authentic to Miami with brands who share our same commitment to the South Florida community,” he says. “Fans will notice their feedback was heard and will see an increase in the quality and variety of flavors, concepts, and food and beverage-centric experiences available to them throughout the ballpark.”
Offerings include Pincho’s Latin-inspired burgers and bowls; SuViche’s sushi rolls and ceviches; Novecento’s handmade empanadas and bistro fare; Latin craft sandwiches at Butterfly and Mexican street food at La Pepa. Other stadium fare includes Caribbean bowls and sandwiches from La Cocina, classic ballpark hot dogs from Top Dog and fresh and healthy grab-and-go options from El Mercadito.
The recently announced 3-o-5 Menu for all Marlins home games will feature eight core ballpark favorites at a new introductory price of either $3 or $5 at Familia Faves and at Obie’s. These include $3 hot dogs, nachos and popcorn, and $5 mojo pork tacos and domestic draft beer.
