Paula’s Food Diaries at Burlock Coast Seafare and Spirits, Fort Lauderdale
WHAT: This culinary series curated by Paula DaSilva, the award-winning hotel’s director of culinary and beverage, marks its second season through dishes crafted in collaboration with some of the world's most renowned chefs. This second annual series begins with a taste of chef Emeril Lagasse's exquisite Seared Scallops, available from June 1-30, followed by chef Lorena Garcia's vibrant Asado Negro Arepas from July 1-31. In August, celebrity chef and television personality Aarón Sánchez will bring his unique blend of flavors to the series with his Cobia Tiradito, available from August 1-30. From September 1-30, guests can savor chef Paula’s take on chef Michael Mina’s signature Roasted Lemon Chicken with lemon potatoes, prepared in Avgolemono sauce with feta, Fresno chilis, and mint, priced at $38. Throughout October, the series wraps up with her rendition of James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle “Michy” Bernstein’s Shaved Brussel Sprouts Salad, priced at $21. A TV personality and regular guest judge on Top Chef and Chopped, she operates Michelle Bernstein Catering, Café La Trova, Sweet Liberty, and La Cañita with her husband, David Martinez. She’s also set to open Sra. Martinez in Coral Gables as well as her first-ever private restaurant at Five Park Miami Beach in partnership with restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow.
