Seafood, Italian, Peruvian, Ecuadorean and contemporary cuisines are represented in the latest local additions to the famed culinary guide. These culinary gems are “recommended,” and could earn Bib Gourmand or Star award later in the year at the annual MICHELIN Guide Ceremony.

The latest batch of honorees:

Cotoa – Chef Alejandra Espinoza’s Ecuadorean stand in downtown Miami showcases fun, creative foods.
Grand Central – Nuno Grullon’s latest (his Uptown 66 is also on Biscayne Blvd. in MiMo) offers quality beef and seafood plus a top-notch wine lift.
Itamae Ao – Big brother to Maty’s chef Nando Chang’s counter features reimagined Peruvian-Japanese flavors.
Palma – Eclectic foods from chef Juan Camilo Liscano served in a tiny Little Havana space near the Miami River.
Sereia – Portuguese fare and seafood from chef Henrique Sá Pessoa in the heart of Coconut Grove.
Torno Subito – World-class chef Massimo Bottura’s playful Italian restaurant on the rooftop at Julia & Henry’s in downtown Miami.
