Welcome, New Additions to The MICHELIN Guide Florida
South Florida restaurants EntreNos, Kaori, Maty’s, Ossobuco, Ogawa and Shingo have been added to the latest MICHELIN Guide Florida selection. Pez, a Mexican seafood restaurant in downtown Miami, had announced last week on social media it would be their last weekend in Miami because there weren’t enough people in their downtown Miami location; their status online is listed as “temporarily closed.” Drinking Pig BBQ is now popping up in the space.
Local restaurants making the list include:
EntreNos, Miami Shores (featured in our winter 2024 issue): “A tightly edited a la carte menu puts the spotlight on Florida’s seasons”
Tam Tam, downtown Miami (featured in our fall 2023 issue): “Bold, funky and fun … much of the food doesn’t require silverware.”
Pez, downtown Miami (featured in our fall 2022 issue): “Don’t skip the Ensenada-style tacos for a true taste of the coast.” But they've closed now.
Kaori, Brickell: “Indulgent wagyu and foie gras gyoza arrive with picture-perfect searing.”
Maty’s, Midtown (featured in our fall 2023 issue): “[Valerie] Chang uses quality seafood to deliver bright, citrus-forward Peruvian flavors.”
Ossobuco, Wynwood: “Ossobuco empanada and sweetbreads with wagyu potato puree are the makings of a meal of their own.”
Ogawa, Little River: “From baby sea eels with a soy-cured quail egg and bigfin reef squid in a shiso-miso sauce to baby snow crab and Japanese-style herring roe, this appetizer of four bites is the first sign that this isn't your typical sushi counter.”
Shingo, Coral Gables: “Fish is sourced almost entirely from Japan, sliced in uniform fashion, and, dressed with little more than a swipe of nikiri.”
These restaurants are now listed in the online guide. Some could get a coveted star or Bib Gourmand in the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony April 18 in Tampa.
