Edible Gardening in Vizcaya's Village
Learn how to start a garden at home, plant various seeds and seedlings in Vizcaya’s demonstration garden and take plants home to start or add to a garden of your own! The program will be topped off with ice cream inspired by ingredients that can be grown in any garden in Miami. This family program is inspired by Vizcaya tradition. When James Deering built Vizcaya in 1916, the estate included the Vizcaya Village where food was produced for the estate, including a farm for crops. Join us in the Vizcaya Village as we follow in the agricultural footsteps of Mr. Deering, but with a modern-day twist! Admission to the estate before or after the program is included.
