Tropical Spirits Festival Mar. 9

A celebration of South Florida's alluring sub-tropical lifestyle, the Tropical Spirits Festival welcomes guests to the lush and exotic natural setting of Fort Lauderdale's historic Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. Delightful exotic libations are a central feature of the special event, reflecting the fascinating talents of South Florida's masterful mixologists and veteran bartenders, in concert with producers of the finest spirits and cocktail ingredients, accompanied with delicious island-themed chef specialties. The historic property — originally built in 1920 — is a wonderland of natural beauty and a rare remainder of Florida's pioneer era, an ideal setting for a gathering to celebrate the enduring tropical lifestyle enjoyed by local residents and visitors to the region.
Located just south of Sunrise Boulevard between the intercoastal waterway and Fort Lauderdale Beach, the magnificent tranquil estate was created by artist Frederic Clay Bartlett on virgin land given to him and his second wife, Helen Louise Birch, by her father, Hugh Taylor Birch. The property encompasses one of the last examples of a native barrier island habitat.
