The Redland farming community, family and friends are mourning the loss of Mary Lee Khouri, who died July 6, 2023. A familiar face at farmers markets in South Florida, Mary Lee and her late husband, Hani, sold cheese made with milk from their goats along with falafel and other Lebanese specialties.

Before raising Nubian goats on their property, Mary Lee was known for her long career in the cruise industry. Admired for her attention to detail and area expertise, she loved entertaining and threw elaborate parties, helping create a strong community of expats wherever she went.

“Her efforts even garnered her a visit with Queen Noor of Jordan, something of which she was very proud,” says family friend Sage Squire.
