Why We Love It: The scoop: Chefs Alissa and Jeremy Frice moved to Miami from Portland, Oregon. Their French custard-based ice creams use local flavors and seasonal fruits. They pop up at serious food events, including chef Jeremiah’s semi-annual extravaganzas, South Beach Wine and Food Festival and Burger Beast events. It’s on the menu at La Fresa Francesa, The Anderson, Pinch and Guayaba y Chocolate.
Don’t miss: Dairy-free Malabi ice cream at Jaffa at St. Roch, flavored with coconut, pistachios and rose water.
