Butterfly Pea Tea

Make sure you choose flowers that have not been sprayed, or buy edible flowers from the farmer.
 

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 10 fresh flowers from a butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) plant
  • Few drops lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey, if you want

Instructions
 

  • Makes 2 servings
  • Soak fresh flowers in a bowl or cup overnight. Drain and place petals in tea pot. Steep with warm or hot water for three minutes. Add lemon juice. The tea will change from blue to purple. Add honey if you want, stir and serve.
