Cilantro Lime Lionfish

Cilantro Lime Lionfish

This recipe comes from Frank DiVito, Prepared Foods Associate Coordinator, Whole Foods Market - Florida Region

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs lionfish filets
  • 1 pint expeller-pressed canola oil
  • 1½ cups fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz. roasted garlic
  • 1 oz. minced garlic
  • 4 bunches fresh cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp. ground cumin
  • ½ tsp. ground pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Sauté fillets in a few tablespoons of oil in skillet on medium-high for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through. To make Cilantro Lime Sauce, combine all ingredients in processor. Spoon atop each serving.
