Roasted filet of salmon with citrus and toasted walnuts

Roasted Filet of Salmon with Citrus and Toasted Walnuts

Easy oven-roasted filet of salmon is paired with crunchy walnuts and tangy citrus in this one-pan recipe from Bluehouse Salmon.

Ingredients

  • 1 3-3½ pound salmon fillet, skin off, pin bones removed
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons coriander, toasted
  • ½ tablespoon kosher salt
  • ½ tablespoon coarsely ground white pepper
  • 3 tablespoons fresh thyme
  • ½ cup walnut pieces, crushed
  • 1 cup fresh orange segments
  • ½ cup fresh parsley leaves
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Olive oil as desired

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a medium-sized baking tray with parchment paper. Brush the salmon generously with olive oil and season liberally with coriander, salt, white pepper and thyme. Finish with the crushed walnuts and drizzle with additional olive oil. Bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes, turning at the halfway point to ensure that the crust develops evenly. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it stand for 4-5 minutes. Garnish with the orange segments, parsley leaves, flakes of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
