Hummus Tehina
Pair this creamy hummus with homemade pita bread and try different toppings. At Dizengoff, you might find toppings like beets, cabbage or lamb, to name a few.
Serves 4-6 as a dip We made Mike Solomonov’s Hummus Tehina (find the recipe on below) because it’s so delicious, but store-bought hummus will work, too.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil in a baking pan and add carrots, covering them with oil. Bake about 30 mins, turning occasionally, until fully roasted. Let cool to room temperature. Add carrots and remaining tablespoon of olive oil to food processor and blend until smooth. Stir into hummus and taste for seasonings.
