Mom’s Day Off, Coconut Grove

WHAT: Take the whole day off in Coconut Grove! The BID is bringing back its popular celebration with an expanded lineup of wellness, fitness and dining experiences. Grove Academy will provide up to three hours of complimentary on-site childcare for registered attendees. Children ages 3-4 and up are eligible (potty training required). Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.

Mother’s Day at The Deering Estate

Bring the whole family to picnic or take a Bay Cruise on Biscayne Bay.

Mother’s Day Brunch: Bring your own picnic, 10am – 4pm
Treat mom to a day out that she deserves! Bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day outdoors among the Royal Palm trees overlooking the quiet waters of Biscayne Bay. Guests can also enjoy a guided House Tour at 11:30am and guided Nature Preserve Tour at 12:30pm.
General Admission: $18 for adults (ages 15+) & $10 for children (ages 4-14). Park General Admission is free for Deering Estate Foundation Members and children under 4 years old. Non-members can purchase General Admission tickets here. (Members do not need to reserve General Admission; please show your membership card at the Ticket Booth, 10am-4pm).

Mother’s Day Bay Cruise: Enjoy a relaxing cruise on Biscayne Bay that departs from Deering Estate on the Pelican Skipper, a comfortable 45-foot Corinthian catamaran. Enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne (ages 21+) as you disembark and explore the Deering Estate grounds. The vessel complies with Coast Guard Regulations and is ADA accessible.

Cruise Cost: $65 (members & non-members). Choose from two cruise times: Morning (11am – 1pm) or Afternoon (2pm – 4pm).  Spaces are limited! Cruise ticket price includes general admission to the Estate during regular Estate hours (10am to 4pm) the same day of your cruise. Bugs and mosquitoes are very common throughout the year, please come prepared (mosquito spray/lotion, long sleeve shirts, and long pants are suggested). This cruise program is for adults and youth ages 4+.  Please arrive to the Deering Estate at least 30 minutes before cruise departure time. Initial check-in is at the Main Gate and again when boarding the vessel.  Tours will depart on time; the tour cannot be held for late-arriving guests.
