Lots is happening at Robert Is Here, the iconic fruit stand in Homestead. The Moehlings were named Dade County Farm Family of the Year for 2019 by the Dade County Farm Bureau. The family farmstand, named for 6-year-old Robert when he sold vegetables to passersby, has bloomed into a year-round headquarters for tropical fruits and vegetables, fruit smoothies, guacamole and other products. There’s also a play area with animals for kids, regular activities, old farm equipment and artwork, too.

#StayGold Celebration

Earlier this year, Robert Is Here hosted Stay Gold, a permanent installation by artist Jessy Nite and O, Miami Poetry Festival. The artwork, located in a field of papayas and sunflowers, is the site of a family celebration Sun., Oct. 20th for loved ones of the incarcerated community to enjoy a day filled with family activities, pumpkin decorating, book giveaways and food. More here.

Six Decades

On Nov. 9, Robert Is Here is inviting the public to celebrate its 60 years in business at a family fun day, with food, crafts, music, a raffle and local vendors selling wares. The event is free and open to the public.
