Baguette Battle Miami

South Florida’s top bakers and pastry makers will gather to present their best baguettes and artisan-crafted breads in front of a panel of judges Sun., Mar. 17 from noon-3pm. Contestants include James Beard semi-finalist Madruga Bakery, Casa Tua Cucina, Buon Pane Italiano and Les Délices de France. Judges are Clark Bowen, executive chef of Boulud Sud; Michael Beltran, owner and executive chef of Ariete; and Matthew McDonald, executive chef of Tamara Bistro at The National Hotel. Since 2016, French Morning has hosted the annual Baguette Battle in Miami at The National Hotel, followed by the first Croissant Battle Miami in 2018. 
 
Baguette Battle Miami is sponsored by Les Moulins de Soulanges, Beurremont, Cacao Noël, and Château d’Esclans. The event is open to the public. General admission is $20 per person, and VIP tickets, including brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas or sponsored wine, are $45 per person, plus taxes and processing fees. Admission price includes the grand tasting of baguettes and assorted breads from local bakeshops, charcuterie, jams and a cheese buffet.
