Celebrate 305 DAY!
So what if we have two other area codes (786 and the new 645) – it’s 305 all the way! March 5 is our way to celebrate. This year the 9th annual 305 Day Block Party is taking place Saturday from 1pm-11pm at Factory Town at 4800 NW 37 Ave., a family-friendly event with food, drink, music, art and performances.
305 DAY got its humble start in 2014 at the ventanita at Versailles on Calle Ocho. It’s since involved as a community-wide event that showcasing all we love about living here. This year’s event features a lineup of DJs, including DJ Laz and DJ Chino, hosts Lucy Lopez and Carlos Hernandez of Only in Dade, Hip Hop Kidz and Moving Artist Dance Company. The #Go305Bus is Miami-Dade Transit’s newest bus, adorned by art from Cintia “Cynno” Santos of Chalk and Brush.
“We hope the artwork on the new 305 DAY bus adds to the beauty of our community and makes people smile,” says 305 DAY founder JennyLee Molina.
Look for lots of local food and drink at 305 DAY, including free cafecitos from Café La Llave and BBQ sliders from Pinecrest Bakery while they last. The first 1,000 attendees will also get free pastries from Vicky Bakery. Food trucks and stands will be on hand serving up local goodies, including vegan choices, too.

This year’s event takes place at Factory Town, a new music venue from the team at Club Space and iii Points. It’s open to the public and all ages are welcome. The festival is free with RSVP here. Concert tickets are $35.
