Asian Street Food Festival at Smorgasburg Miami

Miami’s largest outdoor food market is again teaming up with Cheryl Tiu of Cross Cultures to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at Smorgasburg Miami in Wynwood Sat.,May 24 noon-10pm and Sun., May 25 noon-8pm.

New this year is a focus on flavors of the tropics, with dishes that bring an island-style twist to traditional Asian fare. Expect family-friendly interactive activities and entertainment including Polynesian dancers, lei giveaways and live music.

Guest vendors include:
• Anora’s Thai/Lao Hut – Deep fried jumbo squid, tornado potatoes and deep-fried fish
• Chef Norlan – Innovative Japanese cuisine including sushi rolls, nigiri and other unique specialties
• Julie’s Crochet – Crochet keychains, flowers, and more (retail)
• Mr. Takoyaki – Popular Japanese street food with savory toppings
• Primoo Boba – Refreshing milk and fruit teas with premium boba
• Salamat Cookies – Filipino-owned cookies, blondies, lattes, lemonade and small-batch syrups
• Tala’s Delightful Bites – Filipino delicacies including pork belly skewers, grilled squid, lumpia, chicken isaw and more
• Yen’s Kitchen – Vietnamese skewers and crispy wings

Specialty items to look out for from existing Smorgasburg vendors:
• Boca Burgers – Tropical Burger: Two griddled beef patties with melted American cheese, grilled pineapple, lettuce, tomato, and BBQ sauce on a toasted bun
• Fizz & Matcha: Lychee Rose Matcha Latte – Matcha latte with a lychee syrup, matcha, topped with a rose cold foam and dried rose petals; Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte – Mango purée, coconut rice milk blend, matcha, topped with vanilla cold foam and rice puffs
• Lechona Truck – Plátano Bites: Crispy green plantain baskets filled with authentic Colombian lechona, topped with crunchy pork skin and served with a traditional arepa.
Interactive Activities and Entertainment:
• Lei Giveaway: Guests will receive a free tropical lei upon arrival (first come, first served) – Saturday and Sunday, starting at noon
• Poly Proud: Polynesian Dancers (Saturday and Sunday, 5:30pm–7:30pm)
• Live Music: DJ Performances (Saturday and Sunday. 2:00pm-5:00pm)
