Chino Latino Lunar New Year Fiesta Returns to Temple Street Eatery

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at a colorful Asian street food block party Sat., Feb. 28 from 6-10pm at Temple Street Eatery in Fort Lauderdale. Partnering with food personality Wok Star Eleanor Hoh, the annual event created by Temple Street’s Diego Ng includes: 

• Traditional Lion Dance with John Wai’s martial artists

• DJ Eclectico spinning Afro Cuban Salsa beats 

• Special Sake Cocktails by Shojo’s Dojo

• Community calligraphy banner led by Ms Dans Chinese

• Dr. Doughlittle cookies

• Scobucha’s fermented vegetables

• Sweet Aloha Ice Cream

• Bun Bun Asian Bakery with special pastries 

• Art Emerson Pottery showcasing noodle bowls 

“This Lunar New Year celebration is our way of bringing food, culture and tradition to be enjoyed by the whole community,” says Ng. His menu includes Birria Ramen, Chorizo Frita Shumai, Chino Latino Fried Rice plus an assortment of Dim Sum.  For dessert, there’s Pirucream Thai Coconut Rice Pudding and a large selection of Asian cookies and pastries as well as ice cream from the vendors. 

Temple Street Eatery is located at 416 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Entry is complimentary with Eventbrite registration.
