Back in Miami after a covid delay: Citi Taste of Tennis, an evening of food prepared by top local chefs and “served” by some of the world’s top pro tennis players. Headlined by tennis legend Venus Williams and former world no. 1 Monica Seles plus chef David Shim of Cote, Citi Taste of Tennis will be back Mon. Mar. 12 at the JW Marriott Miami.
Guests can mingle with their favorite tennis players, drink and sample food from top South Florida chefs, including: David Shim from Cote; Dayanny De La Cruz, Centerplate; Karla Hoyos, Tacotomía; Valerie Chang, Itamae/B-Side; Adrianne Calvo, Maximum Flavor Hospitality Group; Fabian Di Paolo, El Salón; Christian Chirino, TUR Kitchen; Mikel Goikolea, Leku; Jason Acoba, Tanuki; and Karina Rivera, private pastry chef and founder of Women Chefs 305.
The Citi Taste of Tennis series, produced by AYS Sports Marketing, was created by mother-and-daughter duo Judi and Penny Lerner in 2001. They wanted to create an event that combined the international appeal of fine food and professional tennis. A portion of the proceeds raised at this year’s Citi Taste of Tennis Miami will benefit the USTA Foundation, the national charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association.
