Hey, not all of South Florida’s events have been canceled because of COVID-19!
We told you to join us for Poetry in Pajamas for the O, Miami Poetry Festival, and it’s still on. But instead of getting together at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, you can take part online on Friday, April 3 at 7pm.
Sam, 11, and Simon, 8, will host a poetry pajama party straight from their living room in a pillow fort. They will be reciting original poems and some all-time favorites. Children of all ages are invited to join the event for a variation of an open mic by sharing their favorite poems with us. Don’t forget to wear your pajamas – or at least change into fresh ones. You’re going to have to provide your own cookies and milk. We’ve included some recipes. Or, you can order from some of our favorite artisans, who would really appreciate the business since the farmers markets have closed.
