O, Cheers: This is Home Wheat Ale Launch, Dania Beach

3 Sons Brewing in Dania Beach is debuting a special mango-wheat beer and custom poetry-clad beer cans that will be offered throughout April. To celebrate, the brewery is hosting a happy hour from 5-7pm.

An Evening of Poetry with O, Miami at Boia De

An intimate gathering of poetic surprises features the unveiling of a new poem on display at the restaurant — a tribute to the power of poetry as a tool for empathy and understanding. Enjoy Boia De’s signature dishes while connecting with local poets, artists, and fellow O, Miami supporters.

Where Mangos Drop: O, Miami Variety Show, Miami Beach

Where Mangos Drop celebrates poetry and O, Miami’s year-round initiatives in education and civic publishing—all on the big stage! It’s an evening featuring poetry and performances by students in the in-school Sunroom program, creatives from the Greenhouse summer mentorship, audiobook contributors, and others. Hosted by Marnino Toussaint and headlined by the Carol City Marching Chiefs. Special appearances by Miami Beach Senior High School, Nu Deco NXT youth ensemble, and others, this showcase brings together poets, musicians, and artists from across Miami to share their creativity on stage.
Activations including a demo by Free Plastic, the Dale Zine Truck, a skate demo by Tutifruit Skate, and more!

ZipOdes Finale at Vizcaya Late

Join O, Miami, WLRN and Vizcaya for a special reading and reception on the water at the stunning Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. This marks the 10-year anniversary of ZipOdes, the beloved community poetry project that transforms South Florida zip codes into poetic expressions. Live poetry, interactive activations and a chance to craft your own ZipOde.

O, ysters! Taste & Ode, Virginia Key

Join Oyster Specialist Shley Suarez-Burgos for an oyster tasting and ode with The Lazy Oyster at Gramps Getaway. Learn about the local history, ecology, biology and conservation efforts of oysters while being guided through proper oyster-eating using mindfulness and sommelier techniques. There will be a poetry workshop portion facilitated by Nicole Combeau. O, ysters!: Taste & Ode explores how to best pair oysters through taste and poetry. Participants will taste three varieties of oysters, with an optional beverage pairing, and receive a laminated tasting wheel and a tasting guidebook.

Poetry in Service: A Poetry Dinner at Recoveco, South Miami

An evening of dining and poetry at Recoveco, where words and light intertwine in a poetic installation. As part of “Soy de Todas Partes,” a civic publishing project celebrating the immigrant experience, a poetry vinyl will be installed on Recoveco’s window, casting the poem’s shadow into the restaurant at just the right time of day.
