Savor SoFlo Festival in Hollywood Beach debuts in June
Broward gets a new summer culinary festival in one of the first non-virtual food and wine festivals since the pandemic shut down events in early 2020.
Savor SoFlo, a two-day event featuring chefs, culinary personalities, wine and spirit producers and brew masters, is slated for June 5-6 on Hollywood Beach. The Grand Tasting Village takes place within a 20,000-sq-ft tent, and the festival will operate under mask and social distancing guidelines of the CDC, City of Hollywood and Broward County.
“This event comes at a pivotal time, as it gives the hospitality industry a chance to shine once again and showcase the unique culinary adventures and experiences that exist in South Florida,” says Tammy Gail, festival founder and producer. Savor SoFlo joins its sister events, Cocoa Beach Uncorked and Savor St. Pete.
Guests will get a wine glass and lanyard, tote bag as they sample food, wine and beer. All participating vendors will use compostable or biodegradable materials. General admission tickets are $75 and include unlimited tastings from 1pm-4pm; VIP tickets are $100 and include tastings from noon-4pm plus access to the VIP Spirits Lounge.
A portion of the proceeds benefit Memorial Healthcare Foundation and Glam-A-THON.
