Burger battle! Cocktail parties! Celeb chef dinners! An open-air festival day in the Grove. After a year-long hiatus because of the pandemic, plant-based extravaganza, SEED Food and Wine Festival returns Nov. 3-7.

This year’s venues include Red Rooster Overtown, Space Park in Little Haiti, The Sacred Space in Wynwood, 1 Hotel Miami Beach and Regatta Park in Coconut Grove, for yoga and the popular Festival Village.

“We always hoped to bring the festival outdoors, and the Grove feels perfect,” says SEED co-founder Alison Burgos. “I love its renaissance – there’s lots of great energy there and we can spread out.” Red Rooster Overtown is another new venue for a five-course, wine-paired dinner by award-winning vegan chef, author and food justice activist. The always-fun burger competition with Top Chef alumnus chef Spike Mendelsohn of PLNT Burger takes place in SpacePark in Little Haiti. “That really lends itself well to the Plant-Based Burger Battle,” she says.
