U-picks in South Florida

Here are places you can buy and pick strawberries in season:

MIAMI-DADE

Knaus Berry Farm: This longtime family farm may be best known for their cinnamon buns, but they started as a strawberry farm and roadside stand in the Redland in 1956. Today, find fresh strawberries and other produce and milkshakes. There's a u-pick when berries are available. Closed Sunday.

Burr's Berry Farm: Another longtime family farm, Burr's features berries, a u-pick, lots of strawberry products (jams, breads, shakes). They're hosting their first-ever Strawberry Festival Mar. 2-3 and 9-10.

Strawberry Fields of Kendall: Longtime u-pick fields in West Kendall, you can also get produce and flowers and their farmstands.

BROWARD
Family Farm:
Broward's u-picks have given way to development, but now Davie has a brand-new farm offers strawberry picking, plus farm animals, field trips and other produce.
