Every year before Thanksgiving, the President pardons turkeys. In Miami, home of the Nochebuena roasted pig – lechón – we celebrate Miami-style. Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will host the fifth annual Pig Pardoning Ceremony at Latin Café 2000 in Brickell on Wed., Dec. 21, pardoning Holly the pig.

Holly will head to her new foster home Aguacate Sanctuary of Love in southwest Miami-Dade. Meanwhile, at the pardoning event, guests can enjoy free spinach croquetas (not ham) and cafecitos.
