Listen to a top panel of plant-based experts share what’s behind the vegan dining trend, how to make it work for your brand and ways to incorporate more plant-based dishes at home. The event takes place Wed., Aug. 9 and features these experts:

• Fran Costigan is a cookbook author, culinary consultant, and the Director of Vegan Pastry at the Rouxbe cooking school where she mentors international students from beginners to professionals. She is internationally renowned as an authority on vegan desserts.
• Nina Curtis is a culinary artist celebrated for her exceptional skill and creative prowess in plant-based cuisine. Her passion for plant-based cuisine spans over two decades. Most recently she curated the plant-based White House state dinner for India Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
• Kathy Gold's background includes training at Le Cordon Bleu and restaurant experience at Bistro Français, in Washington, D.C. She was a frequent guest chef at Williams-Sonoma and was the lead chef at Sur La Table before founding In the Kitchen Cooking School in 2005. Kathy is 1st Vice President of the LDEI Board.
• Aviva Goldfarb directs marketing efforts for ten plant-based restaurants in Philadelphia and DC, as well as non-plant-based brands that want to increase their sales and market to consumers seeking plant-based options. She has over 20 years of marketing and media relations experience.
• Ellen Kanner is the soulful vegan award-winning author of Feeding the Hungry Ghost: Life, Faith and What to Eat for Dinner. She writes about the intersection of food, culture, community, wellness, and sustainability and is an internationally recognized vegan chef and advocate, culinary instructor and a Miami native.

A portion of the proceeds will go to support Les Dames d'Escoffier DC's Regional Chapter's fundraising for grants, mentoring, scholarships, education programs and operations to support women to succeed in culinary-related industries.
