Picture this: You, a rising culinary sensation aged 14 to 17, take on a thrilling Chopped-style competition. The culinary arena is the famous FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Hosting the event is chef Robyn Almodovar of Food Network's CHOPPED and CutThroat Kitchen.
The Teen Culinary Challenge is a platform for young chefs to rise to the occasion, offering learning experiences, a chance to rub shoulders with industry pros, and the opportunity to scoop up scholarships for a culinary future. Before contestants whip up their masterpieces in the live cooking showdown, they’ll be whisked away to a master-class culinary workshop on Sat., Oct. 21, where they’ll learn epic cooking techniques, knife skills, and the secret sauce to food sustainability.
The live culinary challenge takes place Sat., Oct. 28, from 2 pm to 6 pm at FIU Bay Campus. Registration for the Teen Culinary Challenge is officially open – let your culinary journey begin!
