Lychee Summer Celebration
Partnering for the first time with the South Dade Chamber of Commerce and the American Cancer Society, this year's celebration kicks off with a farmers market with 50 vendors and six food trucks. At the Grand Tiki Culinary Lounge, guests will expand their food knowledge and watch Cooking Demos on how to incorporate lychee, local and organic foods in the kitchen. A Beer Mile, an awards ceremony, and live music will round out the celebration ending with a patriotic fireworks display at 9pm. “This year’s lychee harvest is the largest crop we’ve seen in years, says winery founder Peter Schnebly. The winery will be offering three lychee wines, and three limited special-release lychee beers from Miami Brewing Company. Also on hand: Cecil's Jeeps, artisan and craft vendors, live painting sessions and the Relay for Life Beer Mile with beer stops along the route.
