About this recipe

Ripe fruit is a fitting end to an Italian meal, followed by a stroll for gelato or perhaps a pastry. This recipe works for many fruits: mango, peaches, nectarines, berries. Let your taste and the sweetness of the fruit be your guide to proportions. For each two pounds of fruit, use about a cup of wine.

Instructions

Peel fruits and slice. Leave blueberries and raspberries whole. Sprinkle with sugar. Add grated lemon zest and wine. Toss gently and refrigerate for one hour before serving. Add mint, if desired.
