Doris Italian Market and Bakery

Since 1947, this market and bakery has catered to Italian-Americans, showcasing favorites like cannoli, sfogliatelle, baked ziti and eggplant parm. They also carry Italian imports, cheese, pasta and salami and cured meats.

Il Paesano Italian Gourmet Food & Wine, Oakland Park

In this tiny cafe and market you can find everything from arborio rice to Italian lemon-flavored sodium bicarb and olive oil sold by the liter, and you can dine here. The husband-and-wife owners, longing for authentic Italian products and a good home-cooked meal, decided to create their own business. Diners get a personalized experience – no menu, just daily specials – and warm hospitality.

Casa Tua Cucina, Brickell City Centre

One of two Italian marketplaces at the sprawling new Brickell City Centre, Casa Tua Cucina is a bustling market and communal dining space with 10 dining stations. The concept is an offspring of Casa Tua, a longtime Italian restaurant and boutique hotel inside of a Mediterranean villa in Miami Beach known for its authentic Italian food and warm hospitality. It was launched in 2001 by Miky Grendene, an Italian from Padova, who teamed up with Saks Fifth Avenue last year to open Casa Tua Cucina.

Yumbrella

The food: Yumbrella's founder, Steve Simon, has put together comfort-food staples, including his own Killer Melts burgers and grilled cheese, two stands from popular chef Adrianne Calvo, Dr. Limon's ceviche bar and two bars, The Beverly and the Tonic.

The scene: Loud! Lots of UM students and South Miami locals gather here and weekends feature live music on the stage.

South Beach Food Hall

The food: The latest offerings include The Blakery cookies, La Santa Taqueria, Pho Sho, Dale Street Food, Gutenburg,  Kae Sushi, Chick’n Jones, Plants N Bowls and Baklava Bakery. There's a massive video sxreen to watch live-streaming sports.

The scene: There are bars with Happy Hour specials and events like salsa lessons.

What else? Hours are Fri.-Sat 11am-11pm and Sun., Wed., Thur. 11am-10pm. Convenient parking in the same building –.$6 off parking with validation. You can do delivery/takeout. 

Casa Tua Cucina

The food: Twelve different stations make up this compact space, including pasta, salads, baked goods, pastries and charcuterie, plus a full bar that offers 48 wines by the glass.
The scene: Always busy, with shoppers and Brickell office workers at the communal tables, especially during the lunch hour. 
What else? Open daily 9am-11pm. Parking is easy in the Brickell City Centre Garage, or take the free Metromover stop. 

Luna Park

The food: In addition to pizza, pasta, salads and a cafe, they carry regional Italian foods that can be hard to find in South Florida. Restaurants – Pesce, Carne, Stagionale – offer more conventional dining experiences, while the first-floor Mercato is an open floor plan. You can easily buy items (like pasta) that you've tried, prepared, in the food hall. Download their app and you can order bites online.

The Citadel

The food: An intriguing combination of first-class artisans, including Meet n-Cheese authentic Italian charcuterie and panini; Borti Pastabar; Vice City Bean coffee; Ash Pizza, Neapolitan with fun twists; USBS (US Burger Service); Manjay; the Shores seafood; Frice Cream and more.
The scene: Food hall with a retail vintage component plus a rooftop bar in the emerging Little River/Little Haiti neighborhood. There's a handsome long bar too. Oh, and super-cool bathrooms.
