With a nod to the Brazilian Carnival festival taking place this month, the series pays homage to the African Diaspora and its historic influence on Caribbean culture and cuisine. The menu begins with pholourie, curried channa and mushroom with mango sour, followed by Green Banana and Salt Fish Escabeche with spicy cucumber and Shado beni. The main course features include Griote, crimson pikliz and epis salsa verde; Cleo’s Esco Fish; Oil Down Curry with prawns, breadfruit and coconut; and Charcoal Grilled Chicken served “stew chicken style” with angostura soy glaze, burnt sugar and thyme. For dessert, it’s Cassava Pone Sundae, condensed milk and coconut ice cream with mango sorbet, spiced rum, dulce de leche and candied nuts.

Tickets ($198 per person) can be purchased here. Ocean Social by Chef Tristen Epps is located at 4525 Collins Avenue at the Eden Roc Miami Beach. Stay tuned for the menu for the next dinner on Saturday, February 18.
