Cooking Up Stories at the 41st Miami Book Fair
Miami’s annual celebration of books, culture and community kicks off at downtown Miami’s Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus Nov. 17 and continues through Nov. 24. Among this year’s writers of food and drink-themed fiction and nonfiction:
• Nadege Fleurimond’s Haiti Uncovered: A Regional Adventure into the Art of Haitian Cuisine
• James Beard Award-winning author Michael Ruhlman’s coming-of-age story If You Can’t Take the Heat
• Poet and essayist Aimee Nezhukumatahil’s Bite by Bite: Nourishments and Jamborees
• Annabelle Tometich’s The Mango Tree: A Memoir of Fruit, Florida and Felony
• Nicola Twilley’s Frostbite: How Refrigeration Changed Our Food, Our Planet, and Ourselves
The family-friendly Street Fair, Nov. 22-Sun., Nov. 24, features food, fun and – of course – books.
