studiolab at The Kampong
We are excited to invite you to the opening of studiolab, a captivating exhibition featuring Miami-based artists Lee Pivnik and Lauren Shapiro, on October 3, 2024. This unique project transforms The Kampong into a living laboratory and artist studio, merging the realms of art and science in an immersive experience. Explore curated collections of natural and historical materials alongside the artists' own research, ceramic-based artworks, and botanical treasures from our archives. As part of the exhibition, studiolab will reset multiple times throughout its run, offering visitors a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process and the evolving nature of artistic practice. Join us to witness how these artists engage with the rich botanical heritage of The Kampong, and discover how their works reflect the intricate relationship between art and the natural world.
